Gary Barnum
Mr. Barnum is a Senior Project Scientist in NewFields Dallas, Texas office and has over 18 years of environmental consulting experience. His experience includes due diligence, subsurface investigations, environmental compliance, site remediation, regulatory site closure, and project management. Mr. Barnum has experience working with numerous regulatory programs including the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP), Innocent Owner/Operator Program (IOP), Dry Cleaner Remediation Program (DCRP), and Municipal Setting Designation (MSD) Program. Mr. Barnum has obtained MSDs for several large multi-property projects providing substantial benefits to the City, local businesses, and residents. Mr. Barnum also has experience working with the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) Operator Cleanup Program (OCP).
Mr. Barnum has completed Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs) and subsurface investigations at industrial, commercial, residential, and undeveloped sites throughout the U.S. Investigation activities included the oversight and installation of groundwater monitoring wells, collection of soil and groundwater samples, interpretation of analytical data, preparation of assessment reports, cost projections for regulatory closure, and client and regulatory interaction.
Mr. Barnum hold B.S and M.S degrees in environmental science.
