Mr. Nakayama is a senior marine scientist with more than 20 years of experience performing oceanographic and environmental investigations, including aquatic sediment characterization and marine habitat monitoring and assessment. His expertise in sediment investigations includes dredging and contaminated sediment management, environmental construction monitoring, and disposal site monitoring. He utilizes sediment profile imaging (SPI) technology as a rapid assessment tool in support of contaminated sediment and aquatic habitat assessment studies. Mr. Nakayama earned his B. S. and M.S. degrees in oceanography – marine geology and geophysics.
