Mr. Trujillo has more than 28 years of experience with an extensive program and project management background for a wide range of public sector projects. His experience includes management of streets, parks, library, flood control, solid waste and facility infrastructure projects, and program management for Gila County, City of Phoenix, and development of CIP processes for the City of Goodyear. In addition, Mr. Trujillo has successfully led the City of Phoenix Public Works department major programs including Fleet and Facility Maintenance and Solid Waste. These programs had an operating budget of $250 million and capital budget of 125 million per year.
Mr. Trujillo is internationally recognized for his leadership in sustainability and Circular Economy. In 2015, Mr. Trujillo was selected as one of the Top Ten Public Works Leaders of the Year by the American Public Works Association and in 2017 he received the Gabe Zimmerman Public Service Award from the Center for the Future of Arizona.
