Public Health and Occupational Medicine
NewFields offers a spectrum of services focused on (i) toxicology, (ii) public health and (iii) occupational medicine. We work for government, multilateral agencies (e.g., World Bank and International Finance Corporation) and corporate clients throughout the world. Our multi-disciplinary team is experienced in medical toxicology and multi-media risk assessment, complex impact assessments that include environmental, social, health and human rights.
In addition, we perform specialized health needs and facility assessments in a variety of developing country settings. We have performed work for clients throughout the world including specialty technical areas such as integrated malaria and vector control, remote site medical support and public health impact assessments of industrial project.
NewFields has extensive experience in the mining, chemical, oil/gas, agricultural and water resources sectors. NewFields health professionals serve on a variety of international scientific committees and publish widely in the peer reviewed scientific literature. In addition, NewFields has authored technical guidance documents covering numerous areas of public health, toxicology, risk assessment and occupational medicine. NewFields has active projects and professionals working on six continents. Key professionals are permanently located in Africa, Australia, South America and Western Europe.
