Our environmental forensics capabilities are used to determine  the sources, nature, fate, and allocation of chemical contamination. We assess the detailed chemical characteristics of sites and develop conceptual models that incorporate myriad relevant factors, incorporating the operational, regulatory, and environmental histories and environmental conditions that influence site conditions. We often use our proprietary forensic chemistry techniques to "fingerprint" the nature of site contamination and have the capability to conduct applied laboratory based studies to elucidate relevant chemical fate and behavior to better support site conceptual models.

Our extensive forensic chemistry experience includes hydrocarbons contaminants originating from upstream and downstream oil and gas operations and originating with manufactured gas plant (MGP) wastes, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), dioxins and furans, chlorinated pesticides, solvents, and industrial chemicals. We work at sites that include refineries, bulk fuel storage facilities, pipelines, retail gasoline stations, former manufactured gas plants, terrestrial and aquatic oil spills, and large-scale sediment locations. We provide insightful data analysis and interpretation, compelling presentations of findings, and outstanding expert representation.
