Dr. Zhang is an environmental scientist with expertise in statistics, geostatisics, database analysis, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geochemistry. She has worked on numerous petroleum, mining, and PCB sites around the world. Dr. Zhang gained valuable experience in natural resource damage assessment (NRDA) by being heavily involved in some of the world’s largest environmental incidents. She has been invited to lecture on environmental statistics to federal agencies and participated in drafting guidelines for various environmental issues such as addressing non-detects in statistical analyses and establishing site-specific background values.
Dr. Zhang has a B.S. in Environmental Science, M.S. in Statistics and Ph.D. in Geochemistry.
