Preston Martin

Mr. Martin has worked as a project scientist and project manager with NewFields for over 5 years. Preston is experienced in a variety sampling methods and data analysis techniques to support offshore, coastal, and inland aquatic projects. Among those include mission planning and deployment of Unmanned Surface Vessels (USV) and Unmaned Aircraft Systems (UAS) for remote data acquisition, application of a variety of sediment and water sampling techniques, and the use of specialized oceanographic equipment to study benthic and water-column processes. Preston is also proficient in the analysis, interpretation, and synthesis of these data through the use of geographic information systems (GIS), database management, and a variety of specialized software. Mr. Martin earned a M.S. degree in Marine Geology and B.S. degree in Oceanography/Geology.
